Palliative Medicine – MD/DO – Memphis, TN
BMG Palliative Medicine Services
Baptist Memorial Health Care is a network of hospitals throughout the Mid-South that includes 22 affiliate hospitals across 3 states and facilities that encompass an array of home care and hospice agencies, hospitals, minor medical clinics, behavioral health programs and a network of surgery, rehabilitation and other outpatient centers. Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis is a quaternary hospital that supports a full array of specialties and procedures including heart transplant and stem cell transplant and is the flagship hospital of the Baptist Memorial Health Care system and is one of Tennessee's highest volume hospitals.
The vision of the Palliative Medicine Service is to maintain the Specialty Palliative Medicine inpatient consult service while becoming a Palliative Care Leadership Center for the Baptist network. Our goal is to become a palliative medicine training hub for the Baptist system and community, grow outpatient co-located palliative medicine clinics, and expand home-based palliative medicine visits among Baptist patients. Baptist has a separate established hospice program with General Inpatient, Hospice House, or Home Hospice care options that works closely with the Palliative Medicine Service. We want to reach all patients who are diagnosed with a serious or life-limiting condition at the beginning of their journey and at any other stage of their disease process.
